Grant Thornton reaffirms its commitment to driving growth and prosperity in Bahrain.

We are experiencing a seismic shift in an effort to continue driving growth and economic prosperity across Bahrain, particularly as the Government drives forward its diversification strategy, ongoing investment in Fin-Tech and enhancement of infrastructure.

Further, we continue to see providers such as Beehive, a peer-to-peer landing platform, enter the market, who through their solutions and advisory services are continuing to propel local Bahraini businesses, the SME ecosystem and support the financial services sector further.

Such opportunities and developments are synonymous with the effort which Grant Thornton continues to make, with a reaffirmed commitment being launched at its recent Middle East regional conference, which took place on 24 and 25 April in Oman, which was joined by the network’s global CEO, Peter Bodin and senior global leaders.

During the conference the leaders of the region heard of Grant Thornton International’s global growth of 9%, with recognition given to the Middle East regional firms who have contributed to this success.

Of particular note where the six focused themes which Grant Thornton will be focusing on, which also included tech-transformation and innovation.  The core themes are focus areas for the Bahrain firm of Grant Thornton, which will submerge with the government priorities and needs of local businesses.

Representing Grant Thornton Bahrain at the meeting was Managing Partner, Mr. Jassim Abdulaal and Senior Partner, Mr. Jatin Karia, both of whom were recognised at the meeting for their effort in supporting the international practices commitment to global quality reviews, their commitment to developing their talent by sending its promising leaders of the future on the global talent development programme and for the firms overall capability, quality and credentials which have secured the global firms approval to deliver Business Risk and Advisory Services across the wider GCC region.

Given the geographic positioning of the firm, neighbouring with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Jassim said “we are experiencing a diverse market which will flourish further with the new opportunities on the horizon and the ambitious plans of Bahrain and its neighbour KSA.  We are equally proud of the ongoing commitment and recognition of quality which our firm delivers and will continue to advance in this area in order to support the Bahrain market and our clients with the new and emerging themes on the horizon”.

Jatin said “Building a better future for Bahrain is the core focus of our firm, therefore, we will continue to work with our global firm, local strategic partners and across the wider region in order to provide our clients and the market a dynamically different solution which aligns to the current market requirements, along with addressing future challenges”.
