Qualifications

Javier Otegui, certified public accountant, is the BPS Partner at Grant Thornton Uruguay.

He has a Master in Tax Law from the School of Law of the University of Montevideo – UM. Professor of “ Special tax regimes linked to source issues” in the Master´s degree in Tax Law of the School of Economics, University of Uruguay. He was a professor in 2010 and 2011 of the Master's degree in Accounting and Taxes of the ORT University of Uruguay in “Offshore Taxation”. He is member of the Uruguayan Institute of Tax Studies, of the Association of Accountants of Uruguay and of the International Fiscal Association.  

Professional experience abroad

Graduate of the first Grant Thornton International Tax Academy on international tax planning in London (2012).
